Description

No. 40 High Street is a mid-18th century building that stands four storeys tall with a parapet and features two windows. The exterior is made of painted brick, accented with stone bands over the first, second, and third floors, as well as stone lintels and a stone coping. The second and third floors have glazing bar sash windows, while the first floor has modern casement windows. The ground floor has a modern shop front with a passageway on the left side. At the rear, there are two altered round-headed windows, and there is a long three-storey extension that faces Green Dragon Yard.
