Description
153A and 153B on High Street are mid to late 18th century buildings that have been altered. They stand three stories tall, featuring four windows on the first floor and three on the second floor. The exterior is painted brick, with stone used for the stucco lintels on the second floor and for the cills of two first-floor windows. A later wooden cornice with modillions and pendants, separated by raised panels, tops the buildings, along with a wooden or cast iron gutter. There is only one glazing bar sash window; the others are late glazed sashes. The second-floor windows have cambered heads, while the right first-floor window and two others have brick flat arches. The buildings also include two 20th-century shop fronts.
