Description
43 and 45 Yarm Lane is a pair of mid to late 19th century, two-storey houses, each featuring two windows. Number 45 has a two-window return to Lawrence Street. The buildings are constructed of brick with stone or stucco moulded cills, cill bands, and quoins. They have a wooden modillion eaves cornice and a slate roof that is lipped towards Lawrence Street, which also has two round-headed dormers. The east side features a coped verge and a kneeler. Each house has a single round-headed window followed by a double round-headed window on the north side, both with stone or stucco architraves and keys. The ground floor has three-light bays with dentil cornices. To the left, there are pilastered four-panel doorpieces with panelled pilasters, reveals, and doors, topped with heavy scrolls on the entablatures. The ground floor is rendered, and there is a bay window facing Lawrence Street.
