Description
Apple Orchard Farmhouse and the adjoining stable are a farmhouse from the early to mid-18th century, with some rebuilding done in the mid to late 19th century, and an early to mid-19th century stable. The building is constructed of dressed sandstone and features clay pantile roofs with stone ridges, gable copings, block kneelers, and stone end stacks. It has two storeys and two windows, with the entrance located at the south return and rear. The windows are late 19th-century side-hung casements with glazing bars, fitting into the original keyed openings. Steel restraining bands are present around the house above the ground-floor and first-floor windows. The stable and a lean-to outhouse are attached to the left end of the farmhouse. A mid to late 20th-century glazed timber porch at the south end is not considered of interest.
