Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of Westgate in Guisborough. It is constructed of chevron-dressed sandstone with a late 20th-century interlocking clay pantile roof and a brick stack with a stone cap on the right-hand side. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. It features early 19th-century sash windows that have been fitted into larger openings, with stone sills. A doorway is located on the left-hand side. The building is included on the heritage list due to its group value, in conjunction with numbers 181, 183, and 187 Westgate.
