Description

The well head, located approximately 20 meters south of Trout Hall Farmhouse, dates from around 1800. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a semicircular-headed niche with a keystone. The east side has ramped, projecting side walls that flank four steps leading down to the water's edge. At the back of the niche, there is a watershot that feeds spring water into the well.
