Description
West House Farmhouse is a house built around 1840, constructed from ashlar stone with a plinth and topped with a Welsh slate roof. It has a T-plan layout and stands two storeys high with three bays. The building features rusticated quoins and a 20th-century glazed door with an overlight, along with 16-pane sash windows that have projecting sills, all set within alternating-block surrounds. There is a sill band on the first floor and stone eaves. The roof is hipped and has two corniced ridge stacks.
At the rear, in the re-entrant angle of the wing, there is a canted porch with a boarded and battened door, covered by a stone pent roof. The 16-pane sash windows and similar detailing are consistent throughout the building.
