Description
Park Shield Farmhouse is a house dated 1838, featuring the initials J.C. on the pediment. The front is constructed of squared sandstone, while the side and rear elevations are made of rubble with tooled and margined quoins and dressings. It has a hipped slate roof with two central stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. The central door has been replaced with a modern French window, and the sash windows have been altered. The rear elevation includes a modern ground floor window and a single-storey outshut, along with a central stair window and two first-floor 16-pane sash windows. The farmhouse is included mainly for its group value with the farm buildings.
