Description
Shield Hall Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, with two additional bays added as a cottage in the 19th century. It was remodeled into a single house in 1977. The building is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond, featuring a slate roof and white brick stacks. It has two storeys and five bays. The central entrance has a 20th-century porch with a six-panel door. The windows are 16-pane sash types with wedge lintels and slightly projecting sills. There are moulded brackets at the eaves and stacks at both ends and the ridge. The rear elevation has similar window features, except for a 20th-century stair window.
