Description
The shelter shed, likely built in 1861, is located to the south of the main farmbuilding group and to the east of West Hartford Farmhouse. It is constructed from snecked tooled stone with tooled-and-margined dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a rectangular back-to-back plan with a central spine wall. The south elevation displays a 6-bay segmental arcade, with a similar arch on each side, and has coped gables with single slit vents. The north elevation has a similar layout, supported by square piers that carry timber lintels, and is flanked by boarded doors.
