Description
This early 20th-century terrace and terrace walls lie to the south of Hartford Hall. The walls are built of rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings. A tall wall features a balustrade made of linked rings. It has panelled piers with moulded caps, flanking a central apsidal recess and curved flights of steps at each end descending to a paved terrace. A retaining wall, one metre high, runs along the south edge of the terrace. The terrace and walls are included on the list for their contribution to the group value of Hartford Hall.
