Description

No. 14 Castle Street is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of close-jointed squared stone and has a pantile roof with a 20th-century brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and features two bays. There is a plinth and a band at the first floor level. Access is gained by climbing four steps to a central half-glazed door, which has been renewed. This door is flanked by four-pane sash windows, with the left window originally being a 16-pane sash that has lost its intermediate bars. Above, there are plain sash windows. The right gable is coped, and there is a chimney stack at the end.
