Description

The war memorial in the village square of Cramlington was built around 1919. It is made of granite and wrought iron. The memorial features a stepped octagonal base with a moulded cornice and inscriptions inlaid in lead. This base supports a tapering square shaft of polished stone, which has a wreath at its foot. At the top of the memorial is a statue of a knight in armour holding a sword.
