Description
Nos. 21 to 25 on Main Street in Ponteland are former houses that have been converted into shops. These buildings date from the early 19th century and are constructed of ashlar stone with a pantiled roof and brick chimneys. They stand three storeys high and consist of four bays.
The ground floor features 20th-century shop fronts. On the first floor, there are tripartite sash windows in the first, second, and fourth bays, while the third bay has a 12-pane sash window. The second floor has 6-pane sash windows. The windows are adorned with wedge lintels and projecting sills. The gabled roof has flat coping and kneelers on the right side, and the end stacks on the right have been renewed.
There are 20th-century rear additions that are not of special interest.
