Description
Steele's Gift Shop is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Market Place. It stands three storeys high and features three windows. The front is made of plain ashlar stone and has a moulded eaves cornice. The roof is slate with coped verges. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with single-hung windows on the second floor. The shop front, which is a wide 20th-century addition, includes a continuous fascia and a through passage to the left. The design features two windows that curve around a central recessed door. The through passage leads to a modernized two-storey annexe that dates from the 17th and 18th centuries.
