Description
The George Public House is a building located on Bondgate Within, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It stands three storeys high and features three windows. The exterior is finished with pebbledash rendering, while the ground floor is simply rendered. The roof is made of slate and includes kneelers, along with two brick chimneys. The windows are glazing bar sash types, with the ground floor window on the right being a later addition with different glazing. The entrance is a later central doorway. Notably, there is a corbel situated between Nos 63 and 65, positioned about 1 foot 6 inches below the eaves of No 65, which is lower than three of the eaves of No 63.
