Description

A late 18th or early 19th century building, altered subsequently. It is three storeys and an attic in height, with a three-window facade. The building is constructed of plain ashlar, with carved footstones marking the coped verges. A Doric frieze and mutule cornice run along the eaves. The roof is slate-covered, with three later, slate-hung gabled dormers, the central one being larger. A three-light timber oriel window is located on the first floor. The windows are late-glazed sash windows, with casements in the dormers. A mid-19th to late-19th century shop front features two shop windows, a central recessed doorway, and a large entrance to the rear of the premises. The shop front is unified by a common fascia supported by twin pilasters and a Greek key cornice.
