Description
This is an outbuilding with an attached wall located to the north-west of the Blagdon Arms in Cramlington Village. It is a stable with a cartshed, originally built in the late 18th century and later remodeled in the 19th century. The structure is made of large rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, topped with a mixed blue and purple slate roof and featuring a brick stack. The building has one storey and two wide bays. The left bay has a boarded door flanked by part-slatted windows, all set in alternating-block surrounds. To the right, there are boarded double doors under a timber lintel. A small banded stack is located at the right end, and the right return of the building shows a 16-pane sash window. The attached wall on the left has gabled coping and extends to the beginning of a lowered section alongside the road.
