Description

Gravestone located approximately 24 yards south of the chancel of the Church of St. Cuthbert. This gravestone dates from the early 18th century and is made of sandstone, standing about 3 feet high. It features a segmental-arched top and has a recessed moulded panel that includes a primitive carving of a cherub's head and wings. The inscription below reads: "My loving husband is gone to rest and hopes to rise among the just."
