Description

The pigsties, located 30 metres north-east of High Staward Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from rubble with cut quoins and dressings, and feature an asbestos roof. The building consists of two chambers, with a poultry loft and dovecote above, accessible by an external stone stair. There are walled exercise yards that include external stone chutes leading into feeding troughs. These pigsties are included for their group value.
