Description
No. 3 Red Lion Terrace is a house and cottage, with an attached former farmbuilding, dating from the early 19th century and featuring later 19th-century additions. The structure is built of squared rubble with white-painted dressings, topped with Welsh slate roofs and dressed stone chimneys.
The house, No. 3, has a double-range plan and stands two stories tall with three bays. It features a central partly-glazed six-panel door and 16-pane sash windows set in flush surrounds with alternating jambs. The roof has coped gables and shaped kneelers at the left end and at the junction, with stacks that have chamfered top bands above the copings.
To the right of the house is a single-storey, one-bay cottage that includes a partly-glazed four-panel door and a two-pane overlight in a similar surround. Adjacent to the cottage is a lower, two-storey, three-bay farmbuilding that has altered and blocked openings and a low-pitched roof. At the rear of No. 3, there is a parallel two-storey, three-bay range and a single-storey outshut. The cottage and farmbuilding are included for their group value. Nos. 1 and 2 Red Lion Terrace are not of special interest.
