Description
Swin Hope Methodist Chapel is a chapel built in 1845 and remodelled in 1884. It features coursed rubble construction and a slate roof, with a stone stack on the right gable. The building is single-storey and has three bays. The central gabled porch contains a door with round-headed panels and is inscribed with 'Primitive Methodist' along with the dates of construction and remodelling. The flanking bays have late 19th-century sash windows that also feature round heads on the panes. The returns of the porch have smaller windows with round-headed panes. To the right, there is a lower section that is slightly set back, which includes a boarded door and two similar sash windows in the right return. The rear elevation of the main block has two boarded-over windows. The chapel was disused at the time of the survey.
