Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, remodelled in the mid-19th century, located in Guyzance village. The cottage is built of tooled squared stone with pantile roofs, where the stacks have been rebuilt on older bases. The main cottage is a three-bay structure. It features a central, vertical-panelled door sheltered by a timber lattice porch. A 12-pane Yorkshire sash window is on the right, and a 6-pane sash window on the left. There are also some small rooflights. The left gable has a coping, and it has end stacks. An outbuilding, slightly lower and four bays wide, adjoins the cottage on the left. It has a 6-pane casement window and two windows with what is referred to as blacksmiths' glazing; the right-hand window has been blocked. The left gable of the outbuilding has raised reverse-step coping. A pent outhouse is on the left return. The rear of the outbuilding shows boarded double doors set under a timber lintel and three blacksmiths' windows. A 20th-century extension to the rear of the cottage is not considered to be of architectural interest.
