Description
The Old School is a building that likely started as a cottage and has been repurposed as a village room. It dates from the 18th century and was remodeled in 1852, as indicated by a datestone featuring a Percy crescent enclosing the letter 'R'. The structure is made of tooled squared stone and has a pantile roof, with the right end stack rebuilt in brick on the original base. It is a single-storey building with three bays. The central entrance features a boarded door with the datestone above it, flanked by 6-pane sash windows. At the left end, there is an old rainwater head adorned with a Percy crescent. The right gable is coped and has an end stack, while the right side of the building displays two additional 6-pane sash windows.
