Description
The paddock walls and dovecote, located approximately 60 yards north of Lucker Hall, date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from roughly-dressed stone and feature a Welsh slate roof.
The dovecote is two storeys tall and square in shape. It has a boarded door on the ground floor set within an alternating-block surround. There is a band at the first floor level, and above this, a round-arched opening leads into the dovecote, which contains three rows of pigeon holes in a stone screen. The structure is topped with a pyramidal roof that has a vane.
The paddock walls are about 8 feet high, with flat coping, and they ramp down to approximately 4 feet on the south side. The north wall has been partly repaired with 20th-century brick and is interrupted by the dovecote.
