Description

The garden walls to the north-east of Swarland Old Hall date from the late 17th century or 18th century. They are made of roughly-coursed squared stone with cut dressings. The walls are flat-coped and enclose a rectangular garden. The front (south) wall features a gate flanked by small monolith piers and stands 1.2 metres high. The taller rear wall has three square-headed bee boles at its centre. Some areas of the walls are in poor repair.
