Description

This headstone, located 5 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew, dates back to 1776 and is made of sandstone. It features an open scrolly top with a central winged cherub, flanked by cherubs playing trumpets on the left and books on the right, all within an ornamental border. The inscription commemorates William Lumley, and there are scripture texts on the reverse side.
