Description
St Andrew's Cottage is a house that was originally built in the 18th century and later remodeled in the early 19th century. It is constructed from rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof and yellow brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance features a four-panel door with a four-pane overlight above it. The windows are primarily 16-pane sashes, except for a 12-pane sash located above the door, all set within chamfered stone surrounds. The end stacks have been rebuilt on old stone bases. The right side of the cottage displays a similar 12-pane sash window, while the contemporary rear outshut includes a 16-pane Yorkshire sash window beneath a tooled lintel.
