Description

The walls to the path leading to Gaprigg Lane date from the early to mid-19th century. These former garden walls are approached by steps from Eastgate. The southern wall is approximately 12 feet high, constructed of rubble, and extends about 50 yards in length, featuring one blocked quoined doorway. To the north, there is a similar wall that stands about 8 feet high and is around 35 yards long.
