Description

This is a bridge from the 18th century, located between East Shield Hill and East Shield Hill Farm. The bridge is constructed from roughly-squared stone with decorative dressings. It features a small semicircular arch that is flanked by stepped buttresses, which are placed irregularly. The parapets have gabled coping that is tooled and margined. To the west, the parapets end in square piers topped with pyramidal caps. On the east side, the south parapet flares out to a similar pier, while the north side ends in a taller section of wall that also has similar coping and flares out from the bridge's line.
