Description
This is a farmhouse, likely dating from the early 18th century and subsequently refenestrated in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick on a stone plinth, with stone dressings and a slate roof. The house is two storeys with a symmetrical three-bay facade. A rubble plinth is topped by two chamfered courses and a first-floor band. Four steps lead to a centrally positioned vertically-panelled door set within a chamfered alternating-block surround. Six-pane sash windows with flat-arched brick heads have replaced earlier timber lintels. The gables are coped, and the end stacks were rebuilt in the 20th century. The rear elevation exhibits an outshut, probably contemporary with the main house, and features a stone jamb of an 18th-century door in the wall to the right. A single-storey addition, set back on the right side, is not of particular interest.
