Description

Capheaton Bridge, located approximately 400 yards south of Makemerich, is a bridge dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a single segmental arch with recessed voussoirs. The bridge has a plain parapet with slightly ridged coping, which terminates in low square piers that have bands and shallow pyramidal caps.
