Description

The conservatory adjoining the north-east corner of Meldon Park is a Grade II* listed structure, built in the early 19th century by Dobson. It features ashlar stonework, with a roof that is partly glass and partly slated. The conservatory is a single storey with a moulded plinth.

The left section consists of four bays, accessed by three steps leading up to a half-glazed door set within a Tuscan doorcase in the left bay. This section also includes 15-pane sash windows framed by architraves, a moulded eaves cornice, and a hipped glazed roof.

The right section is set forward and has seven bays divided by Tuscan pilasters, with the end bays projecting slightly. This part features 12-pane sash windows and a hipped slate roof. There is a 4-pane sash window in the short left return, while the right return has four bays similar to the seven-bay front, except that the third bay window has been bricked up.
