Description
The conservatory, located in the walled garden to the east of the house, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick, dressed stone, wood, cast iron, and glass, featuring seven narrow bays. The structure has a dwarf wall with chamfered coping, a central glazed door, and 12-pane sash windows that are divided by fluted wooden pilasters. The roof is hipped and made of glass. At the rear, there are similar four-bay returns with glazed doorways, and the rear gable is made of brick. Inside, there are two moulded cast-iron piers resting on moulded stone bases, and side doors lead down to steps that access a basement heating chamber.
