Description
The smithy and shelter sheds, located 60 metres north-east of High Staward Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from rubble with cut quoins and dressings, featuring a hipped slate roof and a squared stone ridge stack. The building is single storey and has three segmental-headed arches, along with a four-pane sash window and a boarded door. The smithy area retains its original furnace, bellows, anvil, and many fittings.
