Description

LONGHORSLEY NZ 19 SW NZ 135939 5/76 Blackpool Farmhouse II House, dated 1735 beneath initials R B E on door lintel, heightened and extended to east in early C19. Squared stone; slate roof with brick stacks. 2 storeys, 3 + 1 bays. 3-bay section has left-of-centre doorway, now blocked with C20 window inserted, in stone surround with narrow chamfer. To right and left renewed 16-pane sash windows; 1st floor has 9-pane short sashes. Bay to right has C20 door and 9-pane sash windows. Coped gables; ridge and end stacks C20 brick, left end on old stone base. C20 rear extension not of interest.
