Description
The farm buildings located to the north of Heatherslaw Farmhouse date from the late 18th century and consist of shelter sheds, byres, and a stable. They are constructed from random rubble and coursed stone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings form a U-shaped plan, with the farmhouse making up the southern side of the farmyard.
At the rear, there are shelter sheds featuring four elliptical arches. To the right, there are two byres with stable-type doors set in alternating-block surrounds. On the left, there are two sections: the taller byre on the right has a granary loft above and a boarded door in an alternating-block surround, while the stable on the left has a similar door. The buildings have a gabled roof with overlapping coping.
