Description
Blackheddon Farmhouse is a house built in 1613. It features random rubble construction, with the front rendered, and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with an extra bay blocked to the left of the door.
The entrance is almost central and has a six-panel door framed by a finely-moulded Tudor-arched surround. Above the lintel, there is an inscription reading IHS SS 1613 MD. The windows are six-pane sash types set in double-chamfered 17th-century surrounds, each with hoodmoulds. The roof is steeply pitched and gabled, with external stacks at both ends.
On the right side of the building, there is a two-light double-chamfered window on the first floor, while another window on the ground floor has been blocked. At the rear, there are outshuts and a 19th-century two-storey projecting wing.
