4/50 Garden walls and buildings c.30 yards north-west of Thirlings GV II

Garden walls and buildings. Late C18. Random rubble and brick with pantiled roofs.

Ranges of buildings on north and east sides. Walls and gateways on west and south sides.

North range: formerly farmbuilding. Brick. 2-storey central section with single-storey wings. Formerly with 7 segmental arches, 5 now blocked. Later outside brick stairs to central boarded door on 1st floor. Small square flanking window openings, one a dovecote. Single-storey left section has stable-type door. Single-storey right section has boarded double doors. Gabled roof, the upper doorway treated as a raking )-dormer. Gables have tumbled-in brickwork.

East range was single-storey cottages, now stores. One 12-pane and one 9-pane window. Gabled roof.

West range has rubble wall patched with old brick. Boarded and battened door in Tudor-arched surround.

South wall, its central section reduced in height in C20, has 2 castellated segmental-arched entrances.

C20 shed built against west wall not of special interest.
