Description

The brick kilns, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, were in operation as early as 1814. They are constructed from roughly-dressed stone and brick. There are two kilns, both lined with brick and featuring brick segmental vaults. The outer walls are made of stone, while the side walls and rear buttresses have a slight batter. At the rear, there is also a chamfered stone base for the chimney.
