Description

The bridge over the River Till is a flood bridge built in the late 18th century. The parapet was partly rebuilt in the 19th century, and the buttresses date from either the 19th or 20th century. It is constructed of brick and random rubble, with the parapet also featuring dressed stone. The bridge has one wide segmental brick arch, creating a hump-backed appearance, and old brick and stone parapets with flat coping. On the west side of the bridge, there are ten low flood arches made of old brick with brick-paved inverts, while the east side has five similar flood arches.
