Description

The gatepiers and gates located about 50 yards southeast of the Church of St. Cuthbert date from the 18th century, while the gates themselves were added in 1938. The gatepiers are made of ashlar and feature rusticated cornices topped with steep pyramidal caps. The gates are designed with arched panels and adorned with fleurs-de-lys finials.
