Description

The Hearse House, located about 30 yards northeast of St. Michael's Church, is a former hearse house that has been converted into a store. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of random rubble with a Welsh slate roof. The building is single storey and features a blocked segmental-arched entry on the gable end. There is one small renewed window on each long side and a renewed door at the rear. The roof is gabled with flat coping and has a low stone chimney on the rear gable. The structure is included for its historical interest and group value.
