Description
The tombstone of Robert Jobson, dating from 1730, is located approximately 6 yards southwest of the south porch of the Church of St. Peter in Chillingham. It is made of sandstone and features a very rustic design. The edge of the tomb face is moulded and rises to a shouldered top with scrolled ends. A cherub head is positioned between the scrolls, and there is a raised circular panel beneath it, with an inscription below that is set on a raised panel.
