Description

The outbuilding and yard walls to the north of the World Bird Research Station in Glanton Village date from the early 18th century, with alterations made around 1796. The stable or coach-house features early 18th-century sections constructed from large rubble with roughly-tooled quoins and lintels, while the parts from around 1796 are made of squared stone. The building has a Welsh slate roof and consists of two and a half storeys with two bays. The left bay includes a doorway and a window to the left, both with massive lintels, and an upper window positioned directly beneath the eaves. The right bay has an inserted elliptical-arched coach entrance. The left end gable displays raised reverse-stepped coping.

The north yard wall stands approximately 2.5 meters high with flat coping and connects the west wall of the coach-house to the north end of the house's rear wing, featuring a central yard entrance. The flat-coped east wall links the south end of the coach-house to the north-east corner of the house.
