Description
Shilvington Bridge is a road bridge, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from squared stone and features a three-centred arch with an arch ring and keystone. To the north, there is an additional segmental flood arch, also with an arch ring. On the west side, a curved projection creates a refuge between the arches. The parapets widen at the ends and have square coping made of blocks that are connected by iron clamps. At the time of the survey, the bridge was in poor structural condition, with several inserted iron ties. Shilvington Bridge is recognized for its high-quality craftsmanship typical of 18th-century masonry bridge construction.
