Description
The barn, likely from the 18th century, and the gingang, from the early 19th century, are located to the north of Woodhead Farmhouse. The barn is constructed of coursed rubble with stone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays. An external stone staircase leads to a central boarded door with a timber lintel. To the left, there is a slit vent, and to the right, a part-slatted window on the first floor. The left side of the barn shows a boarded door set in a stop-chamfered surround, with a rubble relieving arch above it. The hexagonal gingang at the rear has coursed rubble piers, partial infill, and a pyramidal roof, which was noted to be in poor condition at the time of the survey. Later farm buildings to the east of the barn are not considered to be of special interest.
