Description

These are a row of six terraced houses, built after 1831 as part of the Howick Street development. Each house has two storeys and two windows, with the row stepped down the slope. The facades are constructed of ashlar, with a continuous sill band at the first floor and moulded eaves cornices. The roofs are slate, with a hipped form towards Howick Street and coped verges. Most chimneys have been repaired using brick, although one remains original in ashlar. The windows are now mostly casement types, but number 7 retains its original glazing bar sash windows. The doorways are plain, except for number 13, which features paired doors set beneath a rusticated segmental archway.
