Description
This is a row of three boundary stones located south of Debdon Whitefield, likely dating from the 18th century. They are made of sandstone and are rectangular pillars with segmental tops, standing between 0.75 and 0.90 metres high. The stones feature incised Roman letters: "C" for Cartington on the east side and "R" for Rothbury on the west side. These stones mark a former parish boundary. The southernmost stone is not depicted on the current Ordnance Survey map. There is another stone further south, at NU 09340250, which is shown on the map but could not be located.
