Description
New Bewick Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse built with a central block of ashlar stone and coursed stone on the sides. It has a Welsh slate roof and stands two storeys high. The main section features three bays, with lower wings on either side and a service wing that projects from the right wing at the rear. The layout follows a central staircase plan and is two rooms deep. The central entrance is located in a gabled stone porch that includes kneelers. The windows are 12-pane sashes, some of which have been replaced. The right wing is slightly later and consists of three bays, featuring a round arch from a former door that has been converted into a window. The left wing is likely older. At the back, there is a round-headed stair window with intersecting glazing bars. The brick chimney stacks have modillion cornices and stone bases.
Inside, the farmhouse contains an early 19th-century staircase, six-panelled doors, and internal shutters.
